DVN Exec Director Header v1

Dasvandh Network Executive Director

As you may know, 2015 marked Dasvandh Network’s third full year of operations and we’re excited by how the Sikh Community has been engaging in the Guru’s message of Dasvandh. Donations through DVN reached $300,000 last year!… and with Guru’s Kirpa, we feel that the opportunity for collective impact is many times more than that.

We’re passionate about both spreading the Guru’s message of Dasvandh and Vand Chakna as well as providing a sustainable source of funding for Sikh projects–which is why we have a long-term goal of raising $1 Million / year for the community through the site. However, reaching these goals will be difficult with only volunteers (how DVN is currently run). As a result, we’re looking to bring on a full time Executive Director, as well as 2-3 additional Board Members in 2016.

Executive Director Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the Board to define our 5 year strategy to reach $1Million / year of donations and lead the execution of the strategy
  • Oversight of all functional areas including marketing, technology, and operations (i.e., help us define the direction, execution and marketing of our crowdfunding platform at dvnetwork.org)
  • Forge relationships with Sikh organizations, community members, and activists
  • Lead volunteer recruitment and management (including event management)
  • Organization administration, including financial reporting and cash flow management
  • Public outreach, public speaking, public relation

Qualifications

  • A drive for results that reflects a very strong ownership mentality; impressive ability to work autonomously
  • Passion and drive to imagine, build, solve and execute ambitious entrepreneurial ventures
  • Strong presence and relationship building skills
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • 2-plus years work experience, preferably in consulting, general management or non-profit management
  • College degree required
