Vaaheguru Jee Ka Khalsa, Vaaheguru Jee Kee Fateh!
Since 1999, UNITED SIKHS has been conducting Health and Medical camps which are now run at the places of disaster and need in various countries, with our continuing mission to transform and uplift underprivileged communities.
UNITED SIKHS saw the urgent need for medical and health services for villagers who have not seen a doctor for many years. Due to tensions at border area districts in Gurdaspur and Taran Tarn many villagers at evacuation camps have neglected their health, this caused major concern to our volunteers who visited the villagers. Local doctors provided their voluntary services and UNITED SIKHS was able to provide medicines free of cost.
“We have had a very successful medical camp, 164 patients registered and received treatment, and we hope to run this camp every month, if the demand continues” said Karambir Singh, UNITED SIKHS Gurdaspur Camp Co-ordinator.
