Project Update: Kaur Foundation

Thanks to your generous donations, this year Kaur Foundation has trained over 300 teachers through the summer in Texas, Delaware, DC, Illinois, Virginia, Maryland and Ohio.

We will reach over 1500 teachers by the end of the year through additional trainings in Wisconsin, Georgia, Maryland, Virginia and at the upcoming annual National Council for the Social Studies in Northern California.

One of our most memorable trainings this year took place in Illinois, where 80 teachers undertaking a week-long course on religious literacy, also had the opportunity to visit the local Gurudwara in Palatine and experience Langar.

The Kaur Foundation is committed to working alongside teachers to develop rich and authentic materials to use in a variety of classroom settings. I have witnessed firsthand the power of their lessons and will continue to use them with my students.” World Religions Teacher, Illinois

We need your continued support and involvement! Reaching teachers is an effective way of encouraging use of our K-12 curriculum materials on Sikhi in classrooms nationally.  To make another donation to help us reach our annual goal click here!
